I've spent 5 years taking software from architecture to production across web, mobile, backend and cloud.
At Zoloo (formerly Boloo), a SaaS platform for bol.com sellers with €2.5B+ in member sales and 20,000+ orders a day, I own the native iOS app and lead the migration of core business domains from a monolith to microservices, including moving 40M+ historical records while the system stayed in production.
Before that I led a customer-facing microservices portal at Applus+, and I built and launched Syncflow, an AI goal planner, as a solo founder.

Zoloo, 2025–now
How I moved invoicing out of Zoloo's monolith into its own service: shadow mode, the smallest accounts first, and 40M+ records migrated without losing one.

I put myself in the user's position and take decisions from there. With feedback, I look for the common issue, try to see it objectively, and go back with questions to find the why: was it hard to use, did it work differently than expected, or did it simply not work? I also study success stories, and what customers complain about on other platforms, so I don't repeat the same mistakes.
Messy doesn't mean bad code. It means code that will be hard to maintain. Complexity isn't quality: simple, functional and well-structured systems work in harmony with each other, and good planning protects you from painful migrations and computing costs nobody can predict. Before changing anything, I ask the people who know that code best. I apply the same idea in my life: keep things simple and organized, so anyone can understand them and give me a hand.
Big changes go out progressively. At Zoloo we migrated the accounts with the fewest orders first, ran everything in shadow mode, and only moved on when the data matched. The waiting and checking isn't lost time: that's when the small things get fixed.

A year ago I wasn't working with AI at all; now it's part of my daily work. I analyse with AI, confirm with the team and execute progressively. Anything touching business logic or production data, I do myself, and AI confirms and refines.
Read how I built Syncflow AutopilotOne of my teachers at school only accepted clean essays, with no correction fluid or crossed-out words, and that stayed with me. I'm objective and self-critical, and sometimes that makes me over-polish. But I know when the requirements are met and it's time to get feedback from different users, because each one brings different scenarios.
I learned to explain technical things to non-technical people. I prepare, and I look into the background of the person I'll work with, so I don't over-explain or go through things that don't matter to them. Even close friends know what I do for a living, and why I once left a dinner early: I had suddenly seen how a solution could fit into a system, like a puzzle piece.
